D.I.Y Bow Ring Tutorial

Hi Guys!
Sorry for this super late post. I was busy lately packing my things for tomorrow's trip, plus the internet connection was down yesterday.  So, yeah. -.-
Anyway, here's the tutorial for The Bow Ring I made in my last post. :)
As usual, pictures are provided and you just have to follow the steps.
Promise! It's easy as 1-2-3!

  1. Permanent Glue
  2. Ribbons of your choice
  3. Thread and needle
  4. An old ring that you don't used anymore
  5. Scissors.

Let's start! ^.^

You can either sew the two ends together or use a permanent glue.

There you go!  Easy right?
You can create your very own bow ring in less than 15min!
You can be as creative as you want! You can add sequins or glitters to make it more eye-catching.
It's really up to you! :)

I hope you enjoyed this easy tutorial.

I am so over with fringe necklaces that I decided to make this cute bow necklace

which can also be worn as a bow tie. :)

The necklace is made up of super random things that I got around the house- from playing cards to an

old Christmas stocking. It took me an hour to finish it and man, I was extremely happy when I tried it. ^__^

What do you guys think?

D.I.Y Fringe Necklace Tutorial.

You will need:

1 -Chain necklace
2- Tassel
3 - Round pins (I'm not really sure what to call it)
4 - Metal cover? (Again, I really have no idea what to call it. o.o Sorry!)
5 Beads
6 - Pliers
7- Textile glue  (you can use other kinds of glue, just be sure that it will really hold the tassel in place)
8- Connector Chain
9- Lock
10 - Scissors
Step 1:
  • Choose a colored tassel according to your choice.
  • Divide tassel into sections each measuring 3in long.** It's  up to you on how many sections you want to divide it, this will pertain to the number of bundled tassels afterwards. The many, the better. In my case, I divided it into 9.
  • Using the textile glue, place an ample amount unto the top end of the tassel and roll it. **Roll it like you roll a sushi! Hahaha!

Step 2:
  • Using the round pin, poke the pin from below the rolled tassel and make sure you poke  it from the center, with the round part facing down and the end facing up.

Step 3:
  • Insert one metal cover and one bead .
  • Using the pliers, bend the end to secure the cover and bead in place.

Step 4:
  • Remove one connector from the connector chain and hook it on one of the bundled tassel.
  • For the first bundled tassel, hook it at the center of the chain necklace to serve as a guide for the next one.
  • **It's up to you on how you would want your necklace to look like or be designed. The bundled tassels can be as close as you want them to be or 1 inch gap in between, etc.. It's really your choice! You're the desinger! :D

Step 5:

  •  Don't forget to place the lock! :)

And then....

Your very own fringe necklace! Yey! :D

So. How did you find it?
Did you find it easy? or better yet, did you understand my tutorial? HAHAHAHA!
I'm not sure on how I relayed the steps, but I guess the pictures could speak more for itself, right? :D
I hope you find this useful. It's pretty simple and easy though, don't you think?
Let me know if you have created one for yourself.
You can be as creative as you want with your fringe necklace.
Remember, you are the designer! <3<3<3

Last year,  December 27 to be exact, I made another fringe necklace out of boredom. Unfortunately, my

camera was not with me that day,  hence, I wasn't able to take pictures of the DYI-ing steps. Boohooo! I

know! >,<  Oh well, I'm planning to make another fringe necklace SOON and I will make it sure that I have

my camera with me and will take a picture of it. Hihihi. :)

Anyway, here's the product of my boredom. :D

I chose this dark red almost maroon-like colored tassel for my fringe necklace. The color is undeniably

striking and too sexy to ignore, don't you think? The shade goes pretty well with any outfit too and adds a

little drama to your style aside from the famous black. On the other hand, the little white balls and the touch

of gold  made it look classy. Though it took me more or less 2 hours to finish this piece because of some

distractions from my dogs, who by the way tried to chew up all my materials! (The horror! @.@)  And while

at the same time trying to figure out how to place the white balls in between (It may look easy, but it's not!

It requires tons of patients and effort! Seriously. :| ) I am really happy on how my fringe necklace turned

out and I'm already giddy with excitement to use it! Lalalalalalaaaa! ^________^

I'm already imagining a look for this. Haha! :D
